Born in Connecticut to a Chilean mother and American father, Raul was raised between two cultures before settling in Chile at the age of eight. That dual heritage shaped his perspective and his enduring connection to South America.

After studying Commercial Engineering, he moved into travel, where he has spent the past sixteen years. He founded VM Elite with a belief that travel should be crafted into journeys, built from scratch, and shaped through deep local knowledge. Based in Santiago and Santa Cruz, Raul and his team create bespoke journeys across Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Argentina, as well as Easter Island and Antarctica. Each journey starts with the traveller and reflects a true understanding of the region.
