Venice

Venice is one of the few places for which the word unique truly applies. The city is so culturally rich as to defy words; this city has to be seen to be believed.

Venice

Built on a lagoon in North-Eastern Italy, Venice’s Grand Canal is one of the most instantly recognizable thoroughfares in the world, populated by a plethora of iconic gondolas.

Begin your trip at St Mark’s Square, the long-time city center overlooked by the eponymous Basilica. From there, make your way to perhaps the city’s most famous building, the Doge’s Palace. Full of paintings by the great Renaissance artists, this gothic architectural Palace is a marvel.

Aside from some of the world’s most significant cultural works, Venice is also home to an army of artisans plying traditional, boutique trades such as glassblowing and paper-marbling. Venice was once a global superpower and while the influence may have drained, the style, beauty, and history remain.
